2009 Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship
Big Sky championships open WednesdayThe University of Montana will host the 2009 Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships this Wednesday through Saturday at Dornblaser Field in Missoula. The championships will feature the women’s heptathlon and men’s decathlon Wednesday and Thursday and the running and field events Friday and Saturday.
Wednesday’s schedule starts with the decathlon at noon, followed by the start of the heptathlon at 12:45 p.m. Day two of the decathlon starts at 11 a.m. Thursday. The second day of the heptathlon starts at noon. Both days of the multi-events are free to the public.
Friday’s field events begin at noon. while running events begin at 3 p.m. Saturday’s events open at 9 a.m.
The meet’s award presentations will be held after the relays at 3:45 p.m.
The Dornblaser Field ticket booth will open at 11 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday.
Single-day tickets will be available for $8 for adults, $6 for youth (ages two through high school), senior citizens (age 60 and up) and UM faculty and staff and $5 for UM students. Students will also be able to purchase one guest pass for $5.
Two-day tickets will be available for $14 for adults, $10 for youth (ages two through high school), senior citizens (age 60 and up) and UM faculty and staff and $8 for UM students. Students will also be able to purchase one two-day guest pass for $8.
