Craig Ochs has been named MontanaGrizzlies.com Student-Athlete of the Month for his athletic acheivements in November. Ochs has helped engineer four-straight wins for the Grizzlies with the most recent a 56-7 trouncing of Northwestern State in the first round of the Division I-AA playoffs.

Ochs started the month by throwing for 227 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-22 home win over Northern Arizona on November 6. Ochs helped the Griz leap out to a 35-3 advantage with two first-half touchdown passes. He hit junior wide receiver Jon Talmage on a 4-yard strike and followed that up with a 1-yard toss to junior tight end Ja'Ton Simpson. Ochs was 18-of-25 against the Lumberjacks, distributing the completions to eight different Grizzlies.

Ochs resumed his efficient quarterback play in the Grizzlies' 52-21 home win over Sacramento State on Nov. 13. The 2004 first team All-Big Sky selection completed a spectacular 83.9 percent of his passes (26-of-31) for 300 yards and three touchdowns. Ochs connected with Talmage for all three scores (19-, 13- and 38-yards). For the second consecutive week he distributed passes to eight different receivers. Ochs also caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from senior wide receiver Jefferson Heidelberger on a double pass play.

In the 104th edition of the Griz-Cat matchup on Nov. 20, the senior from Boulder, Colo., picked apart Montana State's defense en route to a 38-22 home win in the regular season finale. Ochs went 22-for-29 for 280 yards on "Senior Day" in front of a record crowd of 23,867 at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula. He tossed a pair of touchdown passes to Heidelberger (15-, 14-yards).

Ochs finished the month in style with the 56-7 rout of Northwestern State on Nov. 27. Ochs aired-out two first-half touchdown passes to senior wide receiver Levander Segars to power UM to a 28-0 halftime lead. He finished the game having completed 19-of-31 passes for 234 yards and three touchdowns.
