Jefferson Heidelberger has been named MontanaGrizzlies.com Student-Athlete of the Month for his athletic acheivements in September. Heidelberger led the Grizzly football team with 160.8 all-purpose yards per game, while boasting a team-leading 31 receptions, 488 receiving yards and five total touchdowns. In the Grizzlies season-opener versus Maine, Heidelberger caught seven passes for 115 yards and one touchdown. He topped that performance in week two against Hofstra with season-high 12 catches for 147 yards. The senior highlighted the 41-23 victory over the Pride with a 96-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Heidelberger proved to be one of the only bright spots in the 41-29 road loss at Sam Houston State. Heidelberger caught nine passes for a new season-high 167 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown pass from Craig Ochs. In the Grizzlies final home game of September, Heidelberger caught three passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns. Heidelberger scored from 15-yards out on a pass from Ochs and ended the game with a 29-yard touchdown pass from Jeff Disney.
